There are segments of western society that are ignored by the majority of the population; these people are rendered virtually invisible within society. This project explores the concept of social invisibility; representing these groups through individuals shown as translucent figures, allowing the background to be seen through a person within the photograph. The goal of this project is to encourage the viewer to confront how they perceive others.
